Is it forbidden for a girl to love a girl?

Love is of various kinds: natural love, such as a sister's love for her sister; lawful love, which is brotherhood for the sake of Allah, increasing with obedience and decreasing with its deficiency; and carnal love, such as a man's love for a woman and vice-versa, some of which is praiseworthy and some forbidden. As for abnormal attachment between individuals of the same sex, it is a forbidden infatuation, and some scholars consider it shirk (associating partners with Allah). Its harms include turning away from Allah, anxiety and distress, inviting what is unlawful, and weakening natural sexual desire. Its remedy lies in turning to Allah and staying away from the causes of what is unlawful.
