Is it permissible to slaughter a calf less than two years old and weighing over 400 kg for the Aqiqah?

It is not permissible to slaughter a calf as an aqiqah if it is below the recognized age, as the same conditions apply to the aqiqah as to the udhiyah (sacrificial animal) in terms of species, age, and freedom from defects.
