Is it permissible to fake a fictitious job offer in order to get a salary increase?

"Presenting a fake offer is considered deception and fraud, which are forbidden in Islamic law. It can even reach the level of major sins. Allah Almighty says: {And evil plotting encompasses only those who do it} [Fatir: 43]. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Whoever cheats us is not of us, and plotting and deception are in the Hellfire.' A disobedient person will not attain good, for what is with Allah can only be attained through obedience to Him."
