Does a husband have the right to prevent his wife from complaining to her family by phone about his ill-treatment while she is abroad? Is he permitted to disrespect her in front of others or when they are alone, under the pretext of her obedience to him, even though she fulfills her household and marital duties? Is a wife entitled to request a special monthly allowance for saving and personal use, given that she is not employed?

Marital disputes should not be exploited to ruin the relationship. A husband may prevent his wife from informing her family about disputes to avoid their escalation. However, if the husband is oppressing his wife, she has the right to complain to her family or the judge, and the husband cannot prevent her from doing so.

It is not permissible for a husband to insult his wife in front of others, as this violates the principle of "living together in kindness" (al-ishrah bi al-maruf).

The wife should be patient and overlook what she can of her husband's shortcomings, strive to please him, and gently remind him of her rights. The husband should be more gentle, tolerant, and forgiving, especially since women are highly emotional.
