Does Allah Almighty's saying: "Or have they taken [other] intercessors besides Allah? Say, 'Even though they do not possess [the power to do] anything, nor do they reason?'" indicate the affirmation of the attribute of 'Aql (intellect/reason) for Allah, or is Allah exalted above being described with 'Aql because it implies imperfection in some respects, and we suffice with describing Him as Al-'Aleem (the All-Knowing) and Al-Hakeem (the All-Wise)?

It is not permissible to describe Allah Almighty as having a mind (or intellect, 'aql); because Allah's names and attributes are tawqifiyyah (derived solely from divine revelation), and 'aql is an attribute of the created being, meaning discernment and protection from perils. This attribute is not befitting of Allah, who is described by knowledge, wisdom, and expertise. And the statement of Allah Almighty: (And they do not reason/understand) in Surat Az-Zumar is a rebuke to the polytheists for taking gods that possess nothing and do not reason.
