What is the story of Prophet Hud (peace be upon him)?

The story of Hud (peace be upon him) deals with the First 'Ad, who were the first to worship idols after the flood, and the first nation destroyed by Allah after the people of Noah due to their polytheism. Allah sent Hud to them, calling them to worship Allah alone, but they disbelieved him and accused him of foolishness and lying. So, Allah sent against them a barren wind that destroyed them, while Hud and the believers withdrew and were saved. Hud (peace be upon him) was one of the five Arab prophets mentioned in the Qur'an, and there is a difference of opinion regarding the location of his grave, whether in Yemen or the Levant.
