Is reading Surat Al-Baqarah daily for 40 days to facilitate matters and marriage a necessity, and does not adhering to it lead to despair and the deterioration of life?

The aforementioned statement and idea have no basis in Islamic law and must be abandoned. Performing Qiyam al-Layl (night vigil) with the Quran is a noble act of worship, and acts of worship must be performed with sincerity, truthfulness, and a present heart for boredom to dissipate. As for fulfilling needs and facilitating matters, this is achieved through supplication and persistence in prayer to Allah Almighty. There is no harm in seeking intercession with Allah through righteous deeds.
