Who are the people considered to be under a man's care and responsibility?

Responsibility in Islam includes all those under a man's care and guardianship, such as wives and children, as well as anyone entrusted with any matter concerning Muslims, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire," (Quran 66:6) and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "All of you are shepherds, and all of you are responsible for your flock." This implies that a Muslim must reform himself and his family.
