Is it permissible for a son who received his share of inheritance before his father's death to take another share after his father's death?

Scholars have differed concerning the obligation of justice among children in gift-giving, and the fatwa (ruling) that is adopted is the obligation of justice among them. If a son takes possession of what his father gave him during his lifetime and while he was in good health, then the view of the majority of scholars is that this gift becomes effective for him and does not revert to the inheritance, and this is established for the donee, and the rest of the heirs have no right to reclaim it. Nevertheless, it is better and more scrupulous for the son to return it to the general inheritance to avoid disagreement.
