What is the meaning of all these Qur'anic supplications?

The interpretation of the supplications (Du'as) mentioned in the Holy Quran relied on the exegeses of the two Imams, Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi. These include the supplications of the Prophets, such as Moses' supplication, "My Lord, expand for me my breast," and his supplication after killing the Copt, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself." It also includes the supplication of Adam and Eve, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves," and the supplications of Noah, Zechariah, Abraham, Solomon, Lot, and Jonah. Furthermore, it encompasses the supplications of the believers, such as the supplication of the disciples, "Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed," and the supplication, "Our Lord, grant us in this world [that which is] good," and the supplication, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord," and the supplication, "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred," and other supplications that express the request for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, steadfastness, and victory, as well as seeking protection from trials and the punishment of the Fire, and asking for righteous offspring and a good ending.
