The daughters of a brother do not inherit from their paternal uncle because they are from among the-kindred-by-womb (dhawu al-arham). Brothers from the father's side do not inherit when a full brother is present; rather, they are excluded by him.

The division of the inheritance of a missing person depends on a ruling of his death. The determination of the date of death is referred to the Sharia court. If the court rules him dead on a specific date, his inheritance is divided among those of his heirs who were alive on that date.
