Is it true that humans were given a choice before creation to be either humans or angels, and they chose to be humans, after which God erased their memory?

The statement that Allah the Almighty gave humans the choice, before the creation of this worldly life, between being humans or angels, and they chose to be humans, then Allah made them forget this choice, is a false and rejected statement because:

- There is no evidence for it, and every statement in the religion of Allah without evidence is rejected.

- It contradicts the saying of Allah the Almighty: (And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; what they had no choice in. Exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him.) Al-Qasas/ 68.

- It contradicts the saying of Allah the Almighty: (And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.") Al-Baqarah/ 30. This creature is a creation distinct from angels.

So, Allah did not give humans a choice; rather, He made them humans purely by His will and power.
