Is the torment of the grave real in heaven, and the deceased's grave on earth merely a place for his body, where the dead feel no torment, as one of the sheikhs has stated?

This statement is false and contradicts the sacred texts which prove the torment of the grave. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "His soul is returned to his body," and this explicitly indicates that punishment and reward occur in the grave.
