What is the ruling regarding a young man's unwillingness to return to his family and inform them of his illness to avoid shame, and what is the ruling regarding his secret pilgrimage?

The young man has done well by repenting. He should increase his good deeds, attend gatherings of goodness, and frequently supplicate for healing. He should also drink Zamzam water with the intention of healing. He must not despair, for: "For every disease there is a cure. If the cure for the disease is found, recovery will occur by the permission of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."

We advise him to rely on Allah and return to his family, and not to yield to the whispers of Satan that encourage him to remain in lands where he does not feel secure about his religion. He must maintain ties with his family through whatever means are available. He is not obligated to inform his family about his Hajj, as Hajj is valid upon fulfilling its pillars and conditions.
