What is the significance of the difference in the words "Allaty" and "Allae" in the Holy Quran?

The words "al-lātī" (اللاتي) and "al-lāʾī" (اللاتي) in the Quran have the same meaning, as both are the plural form of the feminine "al-latī" (التي). However, in the Arabic language, "al-lāʾī" (اللائي) is more general than "al-lātī" (اللاتي), because "al-lātī" (اللاتي) is a plural only for the feminine, whereas "al-lāʾī" (اللائي) can be used for both feminine and masculine plurals.
