Can the curse of parents befall their child, and can one be rid of it?

A mother's curse does not affect her child if it is unjustly uttered, for a curse that finds no legitimate target returns to its utterer. The supplication of parents against their child without just cause is not answered. If calamities befall a person or they feel a lack of success, they should review themselves and renew their repentance from sins, for calamities only descend due to a sin and are only removed by repentance.
