It has been established in the minds of the addressed that Allah is the Most High, the Exalted, and above everything. The slave girl's statement: "in the sky" meant loftiness (ulūw), not confinement to created bodies. The messengers have informed us that Allah is above the creation through various expressions, such as His saying: "He is the Most High, He is the Exalted" and "He is in the heaven." Therefore, Allah being in the heaven in His essence is correct, if what is meant by "heaven" is loftiness, not the constructed sky.
