How should a Muslim son deal with the death of his father who converted to Christianity?

If a non-Muslim father dies, it is not permissible for a Muslim to wash his body or perform the rituals observed for Muslim deceased, such as shrouding and burial, unless there is a fear of the body being lost, in which case it may be interred. Furthermore, a Muslim does not inherit from him, and his wealth becomes a fīʾ (booty/public property) for the Muslims.
