What is the ruling on elevating one's deeds to Allah Almighty when desiring to reconcile and seek forgiveness from someone who cannot be reached?

If you had a dispute with someone and did not meet them afterward, you are not required to search for them or contact them, nor are you considered to be shunning them in this case. It is sufficient for you to greet them if you encounter them for the estrangement to cease. Therefore, there is no sin upon you now concerning them, and there is nothing to prevent your righteous deeds from being elevated due to this dispute.
