Why was the revelation (Wahy) cut off after the death of Waraqah ibn Nawfal?

Revelation did not cease for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during that period; rather, it fatar, meaning the descent of the Quran was delayed. The wisdom behind this was to make the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, more eager and prepared to receive the Quran.
