How can one deal with a young wife who feels bored and stressed due to idleness and the absence of children or religious interests, given the husband's vow not to bring a television into the house, and his fear for her from the infiltration of Satan?

It is regrettable that a Muslim finds nothing to do other than committing sins by watching television programs filled with scenes of disbelief, nudity, and singing. This is indicated by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Two blessings which many people squander are good health and free time."

Therefore, this woman should be admonished gently and reminded kindly, explaining why she was created in this life. Among what can be suggested to her are:

1. Acts of Worship: Supplications (dhikr), daily litanies (awrad), prayers, reciting the Quran, fasting, and contemplating God's signs. 2. Adopting Muslim Women's Causes: Contributing to the education of girls, supporting Islamic magazines, participating in charitable projects for the care of orphans and widows, and participating in Eid committees. 3. Good Companionship: Through gatherings and visits. 4. Reading: Islamic books and beneficial stories. 5. Dawa (Preaching) and Women's Activities: And engaging in kindergartens at Islamic centers. 6. Listening to Tapes and Lectures: Summarizing them and distributing the summaries. 7. Artistic Works and Charity Dishes: Selling them for the benefit of Islamic centers. 8. Utilizing the Computer: For beneficial programs and permissible games. 9. Spinning, Weaving, Pattern-Making, and Sewing. 10. Agriculture. 11. Home Exercises.

One must resist pressures that lead to opening a window for evil in the home. We ask Allah to bless the wife with a righteous child, whose upbringing will fill her time.
