Is one who uttered the phrase, "Who is this whose family I'm going to make into chickens [i.e., devastate]?" while imagining a fight with someone he hates, considered to have committed an act of disbelief, bearing in mind that he suffers from an obsessive-compulsive disorder that he cannot overcome?
We advise you to fear Allah and to increase your remembrance of Him through tasbih (glorification), tahlil (declaration of Allah's oneness), and istighfar (seeking forgiveness); this will bring peace to your heart and keep away misgivings and delusions. For it is through remembrance that the soul finds tranquility and stability, as Allah states: "Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." Persist in the prescribed adhkar (remembrances) morning and evening, upon entering and exiting, and before sleeping. Also, increase your supplications at times when prayers are answered, for Allah says: "Is He [not best] who responds to the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes evil?" There is no harm in consulting doctors, as what you are experiencing might be a physical ailment. There is also no harm in ruqya sharia (Islamic incantation), but beware of soothsayers and charlatans. What you uttered unintentionally does not expel you from the religion, but it is better for a Muslim to avoid foul language.
