If someone misses the first congregational prayer:
1. It is prescribed for him to pray the obligatory prayer in congregation with others, and this is better than him praying alone.
2. Some scholars are of the view that the second congregation is obligatory, due to the generality of the evidence on the virtue of congregational prayer, and due to the : "Who will give charity to this one by praying with him?"
3. If he prays alone while another congregation is still present, he has erred, but he is not sinful if he had an interpretation such as lack of space.
4. Doing so is not considered disbelief; rather, it is from the whisperings of Satan.
5. If the prayer time has completely expired, then congregational prayer for the missed one is prescribed, but it does not have the same emphasis as congregational prayer performed within its time.
