What is your opinion on the ruling of the judge who decided that my son is not entitled to compensation for a car accident, even though the traffic report held the truck driver 100% responsible, and there is an admission from the truck driver that he fled the scene of the accident? And what is the Sharia ruling on which the judge based his decision?

The truck driver is held liable (dhaman) for his transgression by stopping at night on a traveled road. The jurists have stipulated that a transgressing stopper is liable. The judicial ruling, however, might have been different due to unmentioned circumstances, perhaps because the court found the road to be wide and that the driver had taken the necessary precautions.
