What is the ruling on someone who was involved in a traffic accident that resulted in the death of three people who were in the car that he hit, knowing that the accident occurred without the consent of either party?

Car accidents are referred to experts to determine who is at fault, and responsibility falls upon the negligent party or the aggressor. If negligence occurs on both sides, each bears responsibility according to their degree of negligence. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has ruled that car accidents are subject to the rulings of Sharia criminal law, and the driver is responsible unless the accident was caused by an act of God (force majeure), by the action of the injured party, or by the error of another. If the driver and the injured party both contributed to causing the damage, they are liable for the damage inflicted upon the other. Expiation (kaffara) is independently incumbent upon each participant in involuntary manslaughter (qatl al-khata), and neither blood money (diya) nor expiation is waived if the accident occurs without the consent of both parties.
