What is the ruling on the prayer and purification of one who suffers from drops of urine or a sticky wetness resembling water after urination and movement, and must he repeat the prayers he performed while ignoring this wetness?

It is advised to disregard the whispers concerning something exiting [the body]. If one doubts it, they should not pay attention to it until certain conviction of its exit is attained. If a person becomes certain of the exit of urine drops after ablution or during prayer, they must perform istinja' (ritual cleansing), repeat ablution, and repeat the prayer, because ablution is invalidated by anything that exits [the body].

If the exit of drops is not continuous, one should wait for them to stop, then perform ablution and pray. However, if their exit occupies the entire time, then the person is afflicted with urinary incontinence ( سلس البول ), and they must perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun, and what exits from them does not harm them.

If the drops are from remnants of urine or prostatic fluid (wadi), their ruling is the same as that of urine. As for vaginal discharge, it does not necessitate istinja' according to the more preponderant opinion, but it invalidates ablution if it exits to the outer vulva. If a person is afflicted with continuous discharge ( سلس الإفرازات ), then they should do what a person with incontinence does.
