The answer

The preponderant view is that insects generated from a pure source and lacking flowing blood are considered ritually pure (tahir) even after death, according to most scholars. This is based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "If a fly falls into the vessel of any of you, he should dip it completely, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is a cure."

Therefore, there is no harm in using products that contain parts of insects generated from a pure source and lacking flowing blood—such as worms and the like—as long as they do not cause harm.
