Is it permissible for a girl to pray while wearing protective clothing and using a chair for prostration in her medical work environment, which is full of germs, given the possibility of using protective covers, or leaving the room, or combining prayers, or going to a designated place of worship?

Prayer is of great importance and is the most emphasized pillar of Islam after the two testimonies. Allah has commanded us to observe it and perform it at its appointed times, and He, glory be to Him, has warned against neglecting it. Prostration (sujud) is a pillar of prayer that a capable person is not permitted to omit, and the prayer is not valid without it. You can place something on the ground to protect yourself from germs after obtaining permission from the supervisor, or wear a mask on your face if covers are unavailable, or leave the room to perform the prayer. If the experiment takes up the prayer time, you are permitted to combine Dhuhr with Asr, or Maghrib with Isha, and the time for both prayers is then considered one. All these matters take precedence over abandoning prostration on the ground, as you are not permitted to omit prostration without a compelling excuse. And whoever fears Allah, He will make his matter easy for him.
