What is the ruling on yellow discharge that appears after menstruation and before seeing the white discharge or dryness? Is it considered part of menstruation or not? And how does one purify oneself from it, especially during Ramadan?

Yellowish discharge (ṣufra) is considered menstruation if it occurs during the accustomed period (ʿāda) or is connected to blood. If the blood stops and the yellowish discharge is seen immediately after it, the woman remains in a state of menstruation until the yellowish discharge ceases and purity is confirmed by one of two signs: dryness (jufūf), meaning the cotton swab comes out clean, or the white discharge (al-qaṣṣah al-bayḍāʾ), which is a white fluid that follows menstruation. If yellowish discharge is seen before blood, it is menstruation if it occurs during the accustomed period; otherwise, it is not. As for yellowish discharge seen after blood, it is menstruation if it is connected to the blood or occurs during the accustomed period; otherwise, it is not.
