Is working for Rotana channels Haram?

The ruling on working in and supervising television channels depends on the content being broadcast. If the work involves broadcasting unlawful matters and these dominate the content, then it is a forbidden act, as it constitutes cooperation in sin. However, if the supervision is dedicated to broadcasting beneficial and permissible programs, there is no objection to it, even if a few forbidden programs are interspersed. Nevertheless, the earnings would be unlawful to the extent of executing those forbidden programs, and it is better to abandon anything that contains a degree of the unlawful.
