Is it permissible to give a share from a vow, vowed to be distributed upon obtaining a job, to one's brother?

What the questioner did by fulfilling his vow is correct, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." Scholars have agreed upon the obligation of a vow involving money if it is in the way of righteousness. If the vow was for his brother, there is no harm in it, unless the vow was for a specific person or the brother was not in need.
