Is it permissible to sell used goods at the same price as new goods?
It is permissible for the seller to sell an old commodity at the price of a new one, or for more or less, because contracts are based on mutual consent, provided that the buyer is not led to believe it is new. Rather, its true condition must be disclosed to him, in accordance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever cheats is not of me."
