Is doubt in divine and prophetic promises—such as entering Paradise through certain qualities, or the blessing of honoring one's parents, or prayer deterring indecency, or the virtue of charity, or wealth through marriage—considered disbelief (kufr), especially given personal experiences that seem to contradict these promises?

Belief in divine promises and warnings (al-wa'd wal-wa'īd) is among the fundamentals of the creed of the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah. However, their texts are conditional, and their impediments exist. If the conditions are met and the impediments are removed, the promise and the warning will occur. Otherwise, they might not. Similarly, the righteousness of parents is a cause for their children's protection, yet this might not happen due due to divine wisdom. Prayer, while it forbids indecency and evil, is conditional upon khushūʿ (devotional humility) and correct application. The root of these issues stems from delving into the actions of the Lord, His will, and His wisdom.
