Are brown discharges after forty days of postpartum bleeding considered menstruation, or should one pray with them?

The maximum preferred duration of lochia (post-natal bleeding) is forty days. The woman performs ghusl (ritual bath) after the forty days, and then performs wudu' (ablution) for each prayer and prays. Any brownish discharge (kudra) after seeing the signs of purity is not considered menstruation or lochia; rather, it is istihada (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding). She should cleanse herself from it and perform wudu' for prayer after its time has entered if it is continuous.
