Did the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, stay the entire Days and Nights of Tashreeq in Mina during his Farewell Hajj, or did he go to the Kaaba for circumambulation after midnight?

We have previously clarified that spending the night in Mina during the days of Tashreeq is obligatory according to the majority of scholars. They substantiated this with the Prophet's action (peace be upon him) and his permission for Al-Abbas to spend the night in Mecca for the purpose of providing water (Siqaya). This indicates the obligation of spending the night in Mina, and that the expression of "permission" implies that its opposite is a "command." It was not reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to the Kaaba during the nights of Tashreeq after midnight; rather, he spent the entire night in Mina. This is supported by the statement of Ibn Umar: "As for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), he spent the night in Mina and remained there during the day."
