Is supplying medical plates and screws to hospitals, with the doctor agreeing to add extra items to the invoice for the purpose of increasing the distributed profit instead of it being monopolized by the hospital, considered unlawful (haram), and what is the ruling on the funds of investors in this activity?

It is not permissible to collude with a doctor to request items the hospital does not need in order to inflate the bill and increase the price, as this is deception, fraud, and cooperation in sin and aggression. Allah Almighty says: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.) The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever cheats us is not of us." This is not justified by saying that the doctor will deal with someone else, for sustenance is apportioned, and a Muslim must fear Allah and seek lawful provision. For a dirham lawfully earned is better than a thousand dirhams unlawfully earned.
