Is it permissible to give money instead of the gift I swore to my maternal uncle that I would buy for him?

Based on the intention of the one who swore the oath: If the intention was to help the maternal uncle with something beneficial to him or equivalent to the value of two air conditioners, then there is no harm in giving him money or other things. However, if the intention was only to buy two air conditioners, then they must be purchased, otherwise an expiation for the oath (kaffarat yamin) becomes obligatory, which is feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or emancipating a slave, or fasting for three days. If giving money is better than buying air conditioners, then he should give him the money and expiate for his oath.
