What is the ruling on group life insurance through which the company compensates an injured employee or their heirs in the event of death?

If the insurance is unlawful, then the employee or his heirs are not permitted to take more than the financial premiums paid to the company. The company must be informed of its unlawfulness. If the company donates money in excess of the premiums, then there is no harm in taking it.
