Does magic or envy become annulled by divorcing one's wife with a single divorce, or by spreading a false rumor about separation?

The evil eye and envy are treated with Ruqyah (Islamic incantation), as Gabriel said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "In the name of Allah, may He cure you, and may He heal you from every disease, and from the evil of an envier when he envies, and from the evil of every evil eye." If the person who cast the evil eye is known, they can be treated by bathing with water from their ablution or by taking something from their belongings. Divorce, however, is not considered a cure for the evil eye and envy. Nevertheless, marital problems can be feigned to ward off the evil eye and envy, provided it is not an actual divorce. It is necessary to continue reciting remembrances (adhkar) and supplications (du'a).
