What are the benefits and secrets of Surat Yasin?

The entire Qur’an is good. As for Surat Ya-Sin, many hadiths have been narrated regarding its virtues, most of which scholars have deemed weak, and some they have judged to be fabricated. Among these are: "Whoever recites Ya-Sin in a night will wake up forgiven," and "Whoever recites Ya-Sin in a night, seeking the countenance of Allah, will be forgiven," and "Recite Ya-Sin over your deceased." Some scholars have said that among the unique characteristics of Surat Ya-Sin is that it is not recited during a difficult matter except that Allah eases it, and its recitation over the deceased is for mercy to descend and for the soul's departure to be facilitated for them.
