How can one reconcile the ruling of wiping the part of the hair that extends beyond the head's boundaries if lengthened, with the action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who used to wipe his head from its front to its nape, knowing that the hair at the front of the head often extends beyond its boundaries if pulled forward? And is it sufficient to wipe long hair reaching the nape if it extends beyond the head's boundaries when pulled forward?

If the hair hangs down and extends beyond the confines of the head, reaching the face, it should not be wiped, nor is it permissible to suffice with wiping it, because it has gone beyond the boundaries of the head. It is sufficient to wipe the hair of the head from its front to its end, then insert one's hands beneath the hanging hair to ensure the wiping covers all parts. It is obligatory to insert the hands under hanging, braided, or tied-up hair to ensure comprehensive wiping, similar to long hair. One should disregard the obsessive thoughts regarding wiping and not pay attention to them. It is permissible to adopt the view of those who permit wiping part of the head to ward off obsessive thoughts.
