What is the ruling regarding a father who disinherits his son and denies his lineage because the son married a disabled woman whom he loves and knows to be righteous?

It is not permissible for a son to be undutiful to his father by disobeying him regarding marriage to a woman whom the father dislikes, unless the son fears falling into sin with her. If the father's statement to his son, "You are not my son," is intended to express anger and a lack of filial piety, then there is no harm in it. However, if he intends to disown him and deny his lineage, then that is forbidden. We advise the son to endear himself to his father and strive to please him. And if the father wrongs him, he should not reciprocate the wrongdoing, but rather he must honor him and treat him well.
