ما هي محظورات الإحرام؟

The prohibitions of Ihram are actions forbidden to a pilgrim due to their state of Ihram, and these include: shaving hair, clipping nails, using perfume, sexual intercourse, intimate touching with lust, and hunting.

As for the prohibitions specific to men, they include wearing sewn garments (garments tailored to the body, such as shirts and trousers), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "He should not wear a shirt, nor a burnous, nor trousers, nor turbans, nor khuff (leather slippers)," except for one who cannot find an izar (waist wrapper), then he may wear trousers; and one who cannot find sandals, then he may wear khuff.

Regarding women, among the prohibitions specific to them in Ihram is covering the face with a niqab or burqa. It is prescribed for her to uncover her face unless non-mahram men pass by her, in which case she must cover her face.

Whoever commits these prohibitions out of forgetfulness, ignorance, or coercion bears no sin, based on Allah’s (the Almighty) saying: ﴿And there is no sin upon you concerning that in which you have erred, but [rather in] what your hearts intended﴾, and His saying regarding hunting: ﴿And whoever among you kills it intentionally, its penalty is an equivalent of what he killed among the livestock﴾, and His saying: ﴿Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief - except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith﴾. However, one must immediately cease the prohibited act upon remembering it, coming to know it, or the removal of coercion.
