Is a woman who wears makeup and deals kindly with people and prays considered respectable despite her disobedience by wearing makeup, or does wearing makeup remove the quality of respect from her? And are respect and religiosity different or intertwined concepts?

Displaying oneself immodestly (tabarruj) is forbidden (haram). It is either a major sin or persistence in a minor sin, and this leads to the deviation (fisq) of the one who commits it. However, a Muslim has inviolability concerning their person, property, and honor, even if they are among the people of disobedience. Therefore, it is not permissible to assault a woman who displays herself immodestly, nor to violate her property or her honor. An exception to this is open declaration of fisq and innovation, and warning when consulted, where it is permissible to mention the transgressor (fasiq) with what is true about them, in order to warn against them or against dealing with them. However, this must be done with the intention of giving sincere advice, not out of enmity or hatred.
