It is permissible to buy cat food that contains animal products, as the default is permissibility, and there is no need to investigate its source unless it is specifically intended in the contract. If it contains a small percentage of carrion or pork, it is a minor, negligible تابع (subordinate) ingredient. However, if the prohibited parts are substantial or specifically intended by the contract, then it is not permissible to buy it.
As for animal matter that constitutes 70% and its source as carrion is unknown, it is permissible to buy it if its source is originally permissible to eat, such as the food of the People of the Book; otherwise, it is not.
It is permissible to offer these foods to cats even if the additives are from carrion or pork, because feeding carrion and impure substances to animals is permissible, similar to feeding carrion to dogs and birds.
