What is the meaning of the name "Bara'ah," what is the ruling on naming with it, and is it related to Surat At-Tawbah?

"Bara'ah" means distancing oneself from and getting rid of something. Surat At-Tawbah was named "Bara'ah" because it speaks of disavowing the polytheists and hypocrisy, and purifying the ranks of the Muslims. The surah includes disavowal of disbelievers, worldly desires, and causes. It is permissible to name a child "Bara'ah" as an optimistic omen. However, it is disliked to name a child after surahs of the Qur'an such as "Taha" and "Yasin."
