What is the ruling on folding trousers to avoid isbal, given the prohibition of takfeet?

Lowering one's garment below the ankles is forbidden, whether in prayer or outside of it. Tucking up garments during prayer unnecessarily is a reprehensible act ( tanzihi). Wearing trousers above the ankles is always desirable and is particularly emphasized in prayer to avoid what is forbidden.
