If the worker is one of the partners and manages the company, then the company has combined partnership (sharika) and profit-sharing (mudaraba). The worker pays on his profit when a year (hawl) has passed since he took possession of it. However, the company does not pay zakat on this profit. Furthermore, the zakat on the partners' wealth becomes obligatory on each of their shares individually if it reaches the (threshold).
