What is the ruling on treating with the Qur'an and using perfumes, apple cider vinegar, and incense, while specifically reciting certain surahs for a certain period?
There is no legal basis in Islamic law for the use of apple cider vinegar or certain types of perfumes and incense in (Islamic exorcism) and treatment with the Quran. However, if their benefit is proven through experience by people of faith and trustworthiness, there is no harm in doing so. Nevertheless, avoiding them is preferable, as their use was not reported from the Salaf (early Muslims). This issue is a matter of (independent reasoning), and a single scholar may convey statements that imply both prohibition and permissibility. Avoiding doubtful matters is better, but one should not condemn those who practice them if they are people of faith and trustworthiness. Similarly, the designation of specific Surahs for Ruqyah based on experience and expertise is permissible, provided it is not attributed to Islamic law. This is valid as long as the reciter does not claim for them a virtue or property not mentioned in the .
