Can the inheritance be calculated for heirs that include three full brothers and a mother, given that the deceased has debts?

If the heirs are limited to those mentioned, debts are paid first, as Allah the Almighty says: "from [the proceeds of] a bequest he has made or a debt." Then the mother takes one-sixth of what remains after the debt, and the rest is divided among the brothers.

We alert that the matter of inheritances is serious and complex, and a mere fatwa is not sufficient; rather, it must be referred to the Sharia courts for investigation. There may be an heir, bequests, debts, or other unknown rights, and these take precedence over the heirs' rights.
